Looking back at a few of the superbowl commercials it is apparent which one's are better and which are worse. One of my favorites was the Hyundai commercial with Kevin Hart. The first immediate good thing about the commercial was the use of Kevin Hart, he's funny likable and famous. It wasn't hard to laugh at this car sales where Kevin Hart plays the father tracking her daughters date through his car. Throughout the commercial lots of big ticket items were used, such as a helicopter. The whole commercial had a very easy to follow and fun plot. The most boring/ commercial I liked least was the puppy monkey baby by mountain dew. I honestly think this commercial made me not want to buy mountain dew. It was very weird, and all over the place. It wasn't interesting or funny, nothing grabbed my attention besides the annoying chanting in the background of puppy monkey baby.
I think the most effective part of the Hyundai ad is the use of Kevin Hart. They also made a very good story line and had a very good quality video, but Kevin Hart was the main reason I found it interesting. My least favorite commercial was lacking a lot of stuff that needs to be in superbowl commercials, such as a good plot, famous people, funny story line, or some sort of big ticket item/ good quality panoramic video skills. In my opinion you need at least one of those to make your superbowl commercial effective.
My favorite commercial, as I said before used Kevin Hart, this definitely did help with making people like the ad. Seeing someone famous, funny, or just someone you recognize is going to capture your attention.
In my favorite ad there was a lot of contrast and good use of color scheme throughout the ad. Most of the commercial was dark, in darker areas or against darker buildings, so when you saw the silver car it really stood out and looked good. The color scheme was really well put together, obviously there was the silver, but there were lots of dark grays, blacks, browns, greens, and blues. This all flowed very well together, while still accentuating the silver car. In my least favorite commercial lines and color scheme were both used. The color scheme was helpful with contrasting colors, the purple mtn dew can was contrasted to the green text. Also they used lines to help organize and show where the words begin and the object ends.

Snow Days
These past snow days I spent my time in my room doing homework. I am taking APHUG, which means I will have no free-time whatsoever and spend my weekends crying. I got through chapter one, all 4 sections with over 12 pages of notes. I also learned where all of the US States were located. I also did a whole map assignment which took around 8 hours to complete. If you can't tell already I had a terrible weekend, but I was very effective and got a lot of stuff done. As for the 3 hour delay, I think this was a good choice. Classes were easy and fast, not to mention we don't have to make up the day. I also had some questions I needed to ask my teacher before we submitted our PING assignment, so I got to do that.
